looks really cool, guesing you used a website to make the pixle art then replicated in on paper? if not good for you! that must have taken a long time. Best of luck!

I used a website to turn the picture to a cross stitching pattern and then I used paint on the computer to change it because it did not look good and had too many colors and then I printed it on one sheet of paper and then colored it on big sheets of paper :)

Dear god. This is AMAZING. An amazing idea, well planned out, and executed well. You should have entered the open category! I bet you would have won or altleast placed in the open category. And judging by your handwriting and hands in the video your not very young. I dont mean to be rude or offensive, but this is a little too good for the beginner category xD Its called the beginner category for beginners and you seem to be a pro. Take that as a compliment more than anything. But its kinda late for that now :P just a heads up for next time. I'd be shocked if you didn't win this month's cotm. Well best of luck :)

Thank you for this review! :) I think you have a point and I actually considered entering the open category. However given that I have only now (about 2-3 months ago) started to learn how to draw (from youtube and the internet) I considered myself to be new at art. I come from a science background and though I doodled a lot of drawings I'm just starting to really get into drawing. I'm 18 by the way :) I don't know whether I'm considered to be too old for this challenge or not but to my mind I fit right in. Once again, thank you for your review. More than helpfull I found it to be uplifting! PS.: No offense taken, you presented me with a racional argument :)

Yes and no... the movie Hugo used the clip from the really old black and white movie from 1902 Trip to the Moon by Georges Melies. I wanted to do an iconic black and white picture and I loved the original

Cool idea of the queen of hearts as evil and good! The worn down-ness of the card is well made and looks great.Though for that extra show of worn down maybe you could have drawn a rip or fold? or maybe the lines a card has when you bend a corner and then try to straighten it out? theres a lot of things you could do with this peice. to make it look more symmetrical for the future, when you were doing the lineart you could maybe do one half then scan or take a picture of it then put it on your computer and flip it then print it out and copy it on the piece. you could also just fold the paper but that might make a weird line. It would be much eaiser than doing it my eye :) and I mean making the center diamond and the stuff around it symmetrical not the people. Hope I could help ;P though it is an amazing piece! keep up the good work!
